Almor Wellman specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke furnaces.
Our process and commitment to engineering excellence and standards of quality ensure we are able to meet our customers needs.

Bespoke Design & Supply

Almor Wellman designs furnaces and thermo processing plant derived from our huge portfolio of past projects. Standard designs or bespoke customer designs meet our customer process needs and world-wide required standards.

All our designs are finally realised through Autodesk Inventor® 3D modelling and 2D draughting systems.

Our thermal, mechanical, machine, materials and electrical design engineering capabilities are versatile, flexible and supplemented by computer modelling tools utilised to optimise our product performance.

Manufacture

Our policy is to assemble and test all equipment prior to shipment.

Goods and component parts are inspected and booked in on arrival and full traceability maintained until the furnace is shipped out.

Our furnaces and related equipment is assembled by a team of experienced and multi-skilled craftsmen under the supervision of the Assembly Shop Manager.

All activities are carried out in accordance with Almor Ltd operating procedures and in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.

As completion of the mechanical build approaches, Almor Wellman’s electricians work with our engineering teams to install the required control panels and wiring.

Once pre-delivery testing is complete, the equipment is stripped down as necessary for shipment and packed. Wellman recommends using its craftsmen and engineers to re-install the plant and to complete acceptance trials.

On completion of the build, and after inspection, Almor Wellman’s commissioning engineers commission the plant as far as possible before delivery to the site. In this way, any improvements can be carried out before delivery. Customers are encouraged to attend during commissioning at our facility.

Installation

Once the furnace and related equipment arrives at site it is assembled by a team of experienced and multi-skilled craftsmen under the direction of the Site Supervisor. Installations can be often quite complex in particular where existing plant and equipment needs to be taken into consideration.

Risk and method statements are provided for all installation/site work undertaken by Almor Wellman.
